For forty-five minutes Joshua played beautifully with a rare Stradivarius worth more than $3 million for passers by with several of them dropping small change into his violin case. Not one person recognized him or the valuable violin. Just three days earlier, Joshua had sold out Boston’s Symphony Hall with a concert with ordinary seats going for $100.</span><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: 'Goudy Old Style'" lang="en-US"><o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-indent: 18pt; text-align: justify"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: 'Goudy Old Style'" lang="en-US">Many of the saints treat the Lord and the church the same way. They hear the music (the word) and the one who is making it (the Lord), yet it doesn’t mean too much. When the collection tray comes by, all that some put in is a little “pocket change” with no obvious regard for the lost souls who might be won to the Lord if more were contributed.</span><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: 'Goudy Old Style'" lang="en-US"><o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-indent: 18pt; text-align: justify"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: 'Goudy Old Style'" lang="en-US">The church is worth more than any Stradivarius. She was purchased with the blood of God in the flesh (Acts 20:28; 1 Peter 1:18, 19). She is shown appreciation by love for her, attending her worship services, supporting her eternal call and by standing up for the biblical pattern of her divine character.</span><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: 'Goudy Old Style'" lang="en-US"><o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-indent: 18pt; text-align: justify"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: 'Goudy Old Style'" lang="en-US">Just as Joshua Bell was unrecognized by hundreds of people, the Lord and the church must not be. We are all called by the word to promote the “Christ and the church” (Ephesians 5:32) to those all around us (Mark 16:15, 16).</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-indent: 18pt; text-align: justify"><strong>Note:</strong> To read the <em>Washington Post</em> article about Joshua Bell&#8217;s January 12, 2007, subway performance mentioned in Randy&#8217;s article, click <a href="http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/04/04/AR2007040401721.html" target="_blank">HERE</a>. Our teens are showing a lot of interest this year. I want to remind the adults that they are welcome to come and attend the keynote speakers. Y.O.U. will include 32 teachers covering a wide range of topics. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-indent: 18pt; text-align: justify"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: 'Goudy Old Style'" lang="en-US">Most of the topics teach teens how to help others learn about Christ. However, there are other classes to spark interest in God&#8217;s word such as the class on angels taught by Ed Myers. Ted Knight teaches a class on recognizing those who are in danger of suicide. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-indent: 18pt; text-align: justify"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: 'Goudy Old Style'" lang="en-US">This year, just like last year, there are classes specifically designed for young ladies with teachers like Kim Wilson, Sherry Pollard, and Angela Almond. Carroll Sites, Ed Myers, Joe Jones, and Robert Swain are the only four teachers returning this year. Their classes are always packed. These classes cover salvation, angels, Revelation, and Romans and they are excellent. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-indent: 18pt; text-align: justify"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: 'Goudy Old Style'" lang="en-US">Get your teen excited about this opportunity. You can still register, you might not get the shirt, but you&#8217;ll get an eternal education.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

The word of God is very complimentary of Noah. Just before the Great Flood, God remembered Noah and spared him along with his wife, his three sons and his three daughters-in-law. What spared Noah were three godly qualities: he was a righteous man, blameless in all his time, and he walked with God (Genesis 6:9).</span><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: 'Goudy Old Style'" lang="en-US"><o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-indent: 18pt; text-align: justify"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: 'Goudy Old Style'" lang="en-US">Take a look at these three godly traits of Noah:</span><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: 'Goudy Old Style'" lang="en-US"><o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-indent: 18pt; text-align: justify"><span style="direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed; font-family: 'Goudy Old Style'; font-size: 11pt; color: black">1.</span><span> </span><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: 'Goudy Old Style'" lang="en-US"><span> </span>Righteousness is a trademark of the saints (Ephesians 5:9). We are to “hunger and thirst” for righteousness (Matthew 5:6). This element of the faith will set us apart from what is unrighteous.</span><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: 'Goudy Old Style'" lang="en-US"><o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-indent: 18pt; text-align: justify"><span style="direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed; font-family: 'Goudy Old Style'; font-size: 11pt; color: black">2.</span><span> </span><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: 'Goudy Old Style'" lang="en-US"><span> </span>Having the quality of being blameless is unnatural to us because we are sinners. However, we are to do the best we can to live blameless lives and also let the Lord make us blameless through His sanctification through forgiveness (1 Thessalonians 5:23).</span><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: 'Goudy Old Style'" lang="en-US"><o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-indent: 18pt; text-align: justify"><span style="direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed; font-family: 'Goudy Old Style'; font-size: 11pt; color: black">3.</span><span> </span><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: 'Goudy Old Style'" lang="en-US"><span> </span>Walking with God is the key to faithful character. One of the greatest compliments ever paid a person in the Bible was to Enoch, “he walked with God” (Genesis 5:24). Little was written about Enoch, but what was written speaks volumes — he walked with the Great I Am. Walking with God cannot help but make good character.</span><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: 'Goudy Old Style'" lang="en-US"><o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-indent: 18pt; text-align: justify"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: 'Goudy Old Style'" lang="en-US">To me, having the patience of Job is important, and having the character of Noah is even better. It led him to God.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
